Description
Pompeian fresco depicting a Nereid on a sea horse. The Nereids were mythological figures, marine nymphs, daughters of Nereus and Oceanina Doride. Immortal creatures, they were part of the procession of the sea god Poseidon together with the Tritons. The fresco is kept at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, found in Stabiae, Villa di Arianna.
